  • Eastern Folk: Ukraine, info about Ukrainian folk music inside the website of the Polish magazine "Gadki z Chatki".
  • Burdon, founded in 2002, this group based in Lviv specialized first of all on perfoming Carpathian traditional music with a strong modern influences, but the roots of their inspirations are based on folklore from the whole Europe, through Skandinavian to Balkans.
  • Ghurt Yo-Ghurt, due to a variety of creative aspirations and musical interests, the group's genre and style spectrum is rather wide: from folk songs (melodies of Irish folk songs, as well as Balkan countries' folklore) and classical music to rock music and jazz-punk music.
  • Halychyna, is the oldest and most famous group in Ukraine. Ita partecipants sing and dance music of different ethnographic Ukraine's regions.
  • Haydamaky, is inspired by various ethnic kind of music from around the world, especially from different regions of Ukraine. Other influences include punk music of the late Shane McGowan and reggae of such bands like Burning Spear and Black Uhuru.

  • Folk Music Ensemble "Kolyada", one of the finest collections of Ukrainian artists, promoting popular Ukrainian and Russian folk songs, instrumental music, performed using traditional folk instruments which create a unique variety of sounds and styles.
  • Mandry, tries to fill a certain niche in contemporary youth culture. They offer an exceptional combination of Ukrainian folk traditions, modern rhythms, elements of city romance and French chanson, and the traditions of reggae, blues, and rock. Mandry's repertoire is still growing, expanded not only by new songs written by the band's members, but also by popular folk songs in new interpretation.
  • Orkiestra Janki Kozyr, it is not an ordinary band. It is an effective, mystically mysterious spectacle, good music, expressive singing and modern approach to folklore. Janka Kozyr, vocalist, sings in three languages: Ukrainian, English and German and spreads across Europe the motto of the band: "God! Love!! Ukraine!!!".
  • Trio Ruteni, is a trio of bandurists playing instrumental music by worldwide known composers (Haendel, Pachelbel) arranged for bandura, as well as folk songs and creations of modern composers (Turovsky, Barnych, Bilash etc.). The three girls present diversiform program of traditional Ukrainian songs and Ukrainian lemkian songs arranged by modern composers for a capella performance and performing accompanied by bandura.

  • Beoga, are a four piece traditional group from Co. Antrim. The group has developed a unique and exciting sound featuring the unusual instrumental line-up of two button accordions along with piano and bodhran. Beoga's music lies within the Irish tradition, but they are not afraid to incorporate other genres' nuances into their music. From bluesy riffs to Astor Piazzola-style jazz, to a raunchy New Orleans jamboree vibe, their music always returns to a wonderfully bouncy traditional sound.
  • Blackthorn's success reflects their ability to adapt to the continuing changes in Irish Traditional Music and add their own special ingredient to suit whatever audience they are entertaining.
  • Ursula Burns, after many years traveling in theatre and circus, Ursula returned to Belfast to begin exploring her musicianship on harp and piano and develop her songwriting. Her music has always been deeply carthatic and personal.This music originates from Celtic twilight territory, but the ingenious arrangements seem beamed by satellite from all corners of the globe.
  • Fil Campbell, is accompanied by her on- and off-stage partner, percussionist Tom McFarland. With their blend of acoustic pop, jazz, folk and traditional songs, sung by a unique voice and accompanied by Latin, African and Irish percussion, they built a strong and loyal following everywhere they played.
  • Anthony John Clarke, is a Belfast born singer-songwriter which performing career takes him to Europe and North America. He is a current favourite on the festival scene in the UK and Ireland where he captivates audiences with his unique brand of humour and song.
  • Ray Collins, singer/songwriter/actor. His unique blend of folk and rock sounds is rooted in the 60's rock invasion and folk-club boom and lifestyle of rebellion.
  • Craobh Rua, is a Belfast based Irish traditional music band. Craobh Rua's impeccable musicians bring their own individual experience to the group and fuse their talents to bring life to a wide array of instruments.   • Cathal Hayden, is probably best known as the fiddler with folk-funk supergroup Four Men and a Dog, but before his globetrotting with them he had a career as a traditional musician up in Tyrone.
  • Irish Brigade, from Co. Tyrone, formed after the 1981 hunger strike. They tell in song, story and poems the epic struggle for Irish independence.
  • Haste to the Wedding, based in Co. Antrim, are a four piece folk band specialising in traditional dance music from Ireland, Scotland England and Wales.
  • Killultagh, is a four-piece traditional music group from Co. Antrim. With a line up of uillean pipes, whistle, guitar, fiddle and bodhran, plus outstanding vocals, the band truly succeeds in harnessing the power and drive of the music of the North. The superb union of the pipes and the fiddle, married to the driving accompaniment of the guitar and bodhran and interlaced with rich vocals make a performance by Killultagh an unforgettable experience.
  • Lyttle Family Band, are from Co. Armagh, and play a selection of contemporary and traditional Celtic music. They combine traditional music with many popular modern styles, creating their own unique style that has been heard across America and Europe.
  • Raymond McCullough, singer/songwriter, has been writing songs since 1973. He plays guitar, mandolin and now and then, a little keyboard. He combines traditional Celtic music with contemporary songwriting while fusing musical styles from China and Israel ... a totally unique musical style.
  • More Power to your Elbow, in 1993, just for the craic, they started a Celtic rock band and called it More More To Your Elbow. It must have been good craic too, for it quickly caught the imagination of large audiences both in Northern Ireland and further afield in Europe and America. That was then, but what about now? As original members of the band, they had largely gone our seperate ways, following a variety of much less invigorating careers. It was not until recently that they all met up again, having been coaxed out of the quiet life by people who reminded them that ten years had gone by.
  • Nae Goat's Toe, this vibrant and eclectic group aims to take Ulster Scots folk music out beyond the Ulster Scots Community.
  • Óige, are a four piece band from Dungiven, Co. Derry. They were founded in 1991 by the youngest member Murrough O'Kane. Óige means "youth" in Irish, as the members were in their teens at that time.
  • Seamus O'Kane, is a bodhrán maker from Co. Derry. He has been playing since 1969 and has made recordings on LP, cassettes, CD's, videos and tv programmes. He is a member of Roguery the Irish folkband headed by Joe Diamond and Cliff McKenna. He plays in sessions a lot and has a great love of Irish and Scottish traditional singers.
  • Real Time, Iain Anderson (fiddle) and Tom Roseburgh (keyboard) join Kenny Speirs and Judy Dinning to form a formidable new line-up of talent. They perform traditional songs and music from the Borders and Northumbria as well as some sizzling fiddle music from Iain.
  • The Sands Family, are brothers Tommy, Ben and Colum Sands and their sister Anne who hail from County Down. For 30 years they have been bringing their unique blend of traditional and original songs to audiences around the world and in the process they have consistently brought refreshing and healing perspectives to the times they have lived through in the north of Ireland. Today The Sands Family are renowned for their own compositions as much as for their interpretation and delivery of traditional songs and tunes.
  • Ben Sands, coming from the legendary Sands family, Ben brings a solid reputation as a "great singer of great songs" from a diversity of sources. His songs, music and stories paint pictures of an ongoing legacy inherited in those early, influential years on a small farm in Co. Down and enriched by his colourful, musical, adventure-some journeys through life.
  • Colum Sands, a member of the internationally renowned Sands Family, Colum established his reputation as a songwriter with the release of his first solo album in 1981. His songs were soon in the repertoire of artists from Billy Connolly to Maddy Prior and June Tabor.
  • Tommy Sands, Co. Down's singer, songwriter and social activist has achieved something akin to legendary status in his own lifetime. From the pioneering days with the highly influential Sands Family, bringing Irish Music from New York's Carnegie Hall to Moscow's Olympic Stadium, he has developed into one of the most powerful songwriters and enchanting solo performers in Ireland today.
  • Ulster Scots eXperience, offers the best in Ulster Scots music today. The musical combination of fiddles and accordions accompanied by keyboard, drums, fifes, lambegs, bagpipes, dulcimer, banjo, tin whistle & mandolin, to name but a few, all give that "special something" to their performances. Add to that the un-rivalled vocal talents of Fiona Trotter, one of the foremost Ulster Scots and Jazz singers in the province, and you have a show beyond compare in the Ulster Scots music scene today.
  • Ulster Scots Folk Orchestra's performances give an informative insight into the Ulster-Scots cultural heritage, but more importantly, their high energy and humour, provide great entertainment. The fiddle is the dominant instrument, but many other instruments are incorporated in their performances. There are also many songs and recitations in the broad Ulster-Scots tongue. Smaller ensembles of Ulster Scots Folk Orchestra also perform under the names of 'Wheen O Fowk' and 'Clatter O Fowk'. A new off shoot is also being developed entitled 'Rhythms of Ulster' featuring lambegs and other traditional wood or brass-shelled goat skin drums.

  • 180 and the letter G, was a Milwaukee-based celtic band, playing traditional Irish tunes, defunct as of summer 1998.
  • Donna Adams-Profeta, has developed a vocal/instrumental repertoire comprised mostly of Scottish renaissance music for harp, with representative medieval, 18th and 19th century traditional and 'Art Fine' pieces, in addition to several original works.

  • The pickPocket Ensemble, inspired by the many European folk and cafe musics that thay have loved, they set out to compose and perform a music that responded to these older styles, but with a modern sensibility and a street-wise edge. In their music you can hear echoes of Parisian bal musette, as well as many of the Eastern European styles that they have devoured over the years.
