- Muammer Ketencoglu, accordion player. His interest in folk music, which at the beginning was focused on contemporary Greek music and Rebetiko, continued with a deep affinity to other people's music as well, and ultimately got concentrated on Balkan music.
- Murat Ses, emphasizes Anatolia's unique ethnic structure hosting a myriad of cultures since centuries, so that the careful listener will find out a traditional Islamic chant in a peacefully coexistence with an Eurasian church chant. His main influences range from Pink Floyd, Traffic, and Jimmy Smith to Eastern Mediterranean, Levantine, and Central Asian cultures and music.

Tuva (Russian Federation)
- Huun-Huur-Tu, are perhaps the best known practitioners (of throat singing) and accompany themselves on all manner of strange and wonderful instruments. The resulting sound is as compelling as a wild gallop across the steppes.
- Yat-Kha, a group which includes musicians only from Tuva performing traditional Tuvan songs with traditional Tuvan instruments.
